~Reflection on Simulation and Modeling

Today we learn about Simulation and modeling.

Actually, simulation and modeling are effective ways in how to attract student attention to study. It is because they are uniquely illustrating scientific concept with the use of high quality of multimedia that will enabling students to interact, reflect and develop their knowledge and understanding.

As a task, Dr Sadiah asked us to find a good simulation and modeling and present into the class.

My group chooses Water movement in plant and the simulation and Plant nutrition as the Modeling.

Then, we need to present our work to Dr Sadiah. Dr Sadiah gives her comment and advises to improve our work.

~Reflection on Data Logger

Today, we learn about Data Logger. This is new thing for me because this is my first time know about data logger. I’m really excited to learn about it.

As a task, Dr Sadiah asked us to carry out an experiment using data logger. My group carried out experiment about Biochemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D). We use sensor D.O to measure values of dissolved oxygen. To calculate B.O.D value, we need to calculate the value of final D.O minus the value of initial D.O. The highest value of B.O.D shows that the highest polluted water.

Then, we need to present our work to Dr Sadiah. Dr Sadiah gives her comment and advises to improve our work.

~Reflection on E-portfolio

Today, we learnt about E-portfolio. Dr Sadiah taught us how to make an E-portfolio. As a task, we need to create our own E-portfolio. Dr Sadiah reminded us to choose a clear template to make sure that our Dr also reminded us not to change our template because all the gadgets will be missing. E-portfolio is easier to see by other peoples. Our E-portfolio consist will be evaluated by Dr Sadiah on week 14.

~Reflection on Spreadsheet

Today, we learnt about Spreadsheet. At the beginning I don’t what means by the Spreadsheet. But after the lecturer taught us, I realized that actually spreadsheet as same the Microsoft Excel. The lecturer gave us one task for us to make our understood what have we learnt about the Spreadsheet.

The Spreadsheet has many benefits in teaching and learning process. The benefit from the Spreadsheet are save time, report are arrange orderly, more productive, the results are accurate and trusted, all work are stored, if got mistakes can be overcome easily.

~Reflection on Picasa

Our class was held in PTPM. At this time, we learn about Picasa. This is my first time use Picasa. We learnt how to edit pictures using Picasa. Actually, Picasa has various functions. We learnt how to crop the picture, make a video, collage, edit picture color and many more. Picasa also make a picture nicer.

I enjoy learning it.

~Reflection on Smart Board

We have learned about Smart Board from Miss Siti Shamsiah. Miss Siti teaches us how to use the Smart Board. She also wills us to try use the Smart Board. I’m so very excited because this is my first time using it. At the beginning, I think that it is very difficult to using it because we need to give our full attention. It seems also like to waste our time. But after when I have learned it more, it is quite interesting and I enjoy it.

We only use our finger to touch the screen. We can control computer applications, write note, pull up chart and images search the internet, plays video and save our work. Actually, using Smart Board in Learning and Teaching process is a good way in order to attract the student attention and focus on the lesson. So, the lesson not to be more boring.

In the other class, we get a few assignments. We need to do the assignments in group. We also install the Smart Board Software in our own laptop. Then, we need to present our work to Miss Siti. Miss Siti evaluates our work and gives her comment and helps us in improving our work.

~First Day In ICT Class...

At the first day, we are introduced with our subject, Information and Communication in Biology. Our class will be teaches by Dr Sadiah Baharom and Cik Siti Shamsiah. For that day, we are introduced with the Interactional Plan (RI). The lecturer briefly explained about the subject and the assessment that we have to do in the whole semester. This subject is not has final examination. We need to do all the assessment during the whole semester.

I hope that I can score for this subject….
